Why visit Stamford Bridge
Stamford Bridge is one of the oldest grounds still in continuous top-flight use, dating back to 1877. Despite four sides of rebuilds, the stadium still feels compact, and the pre-match buzz around Fulham Broadway is one of the best in London.
Chelsea's recent silverware — two Champions League titles, two Europa League titles, multiple Premier Leagues and FA Cups — also makes the museum a genuinely interesting visit, even if you are visiting for the first time.
Matchday in west London
Take the District Line (Wimbledon branch) to Fulham Broadway. Pre-match crowds gather around The Cock Tavern, The Butcher's Hook (right next to the ground) and the Fulham Road bars. The Shed End on the Fulham Road side is the most atmospheric part of the ground.
After the game, walk back along Fulham Road or head into King's Road for food and drinks. Trains and tubes home are easy in every direction.
